Key Projects
In addition to the multitude of short term sourcing projects which have been Access International’s staple over the years, we have worked on a variety of multi-year tasks with great success.
Beginning in 1991, Access International's first client was Totex Limited, Hong Kong. Access operated as manufacturer's agent for this top line battery pack manufacturer for over 6 years. Access established North American distribution for Totex and grew it to a level which allowed creation of their own U.S. manufacturing facility in 1997 to meet domestic market requirements.
In 1992, Access International was selected to join the product development team chosen to design, produce and market LensPen®, a revolutionary lens cleaning instrument. Three years later, LensPen's success bred a new product, MiniPro™, designed for smaller diameter lenses. Both products are immensely successful and are sold around the world under private brands including Kodak, Nikon, Olympus, and many others. Access located the OEM manufacturer for these fine products and was solely responsible for establishment and maintenance of worldwide distribution for ten years. LensPen won the Photographic Manufacturer’s Association "Best Accessory" 5 out of 7 years.
In 1998, the Alliance of Value Added Distributors asked Access International to source a full range of high quality audio-video interconnect cables for their member companies across the U.S. The result has been creation of the PROconnect™ brand consisting of over 70 types of interconnect cables and connectors, including digital video interface and HDMI™ cables used in High Definition Television connections. These top quality products are now selling through installers of fine home entertainment systems across America.
In 2003, Crescent & Willow LLC contracted Access to join the product development team responsible for development of a new product called CandleWand™ destined for the candle making craft trade. This product is now shipping into the U.S. market.
