PHASE I Begins with first discussions, ends when quotations are submitted.
Documentation Stage
First you will provide all written documentation about the product, including dimensioned drawings, photographs, materials needed, packaging requirements, and other data required by potential manufacturers to properly quote your project. You’ll then authorize Access to provide this information to potential vendors. If this documentation is not sufficient, we’ll refer you to professionals who know exactly what’s required and can provide it.
Quotation Stage
You'll provide samples of the product(s) to be quoted in the packaging required, if they are existing items. We will keep one sample for our reference and provide the remaining samples to potential manufacturers. With or without a sample, we will need the documentation as mentioned in the previous stage.
You'll advise us of the quantity you will require for the opening order and expected first year usage. Accuracy of your projections is the key to beginning the relationship properly. It is better to exceed the projection than fall short.
You will need to establish a reasonable target FOB price. This is the price delivered to your forwarder at the shipping port. Not establishing the target price generally adds time and complicates the process. Access can assist you in these efforts, if needed.
The more complete the information provided prior to the quotations, the easier the process will be for all concerned. With Access International’s help, you can set the manufacturer up to succeed in providing an accurate quotation. Unless mutually agreed, Phase I ends when you have received a maximum of three quotations from potential vendors.
